GoFundMe: Support the Plaza Family After the Eaton Fire
The Plaza family—Juan Pablo, Adriana, and their young children, Joseph (4) and Antonella (6)—have been integral members of the Latino community in Los Angeles for over seven years, most recently serving at Conexion Pasadena Church. Tragically, the recent Eaton Fire devastated their home, leaving them with nothing. While they are grateful to be alive, the prospect of starting over is daunting.
The Eaton Fire, which began on January 7, 2025, in Eaton Canyon near Altadena, has been one of the most destructive wildfires in California’s history. As of January 22, 2025, the fire has burned approximately 14,117 acres, resulting in significant loss of life and property.
In response to their loss, close friends Rossana Diaz and Fernanda Navarrete have organized a GoFundMe campaign to support the Plaza family. All donations go directly to Juan Pablo Plaza’s bank account and will be used to cover urgent needs, including temporary housing, clothing, kitchen essentials, mattresses, bedding, and more. Every contribution will help them rebuild their lives.
As of January 23, 2025, the campaign has raised $6,330 from 45 donations, with a top donation of $2,000. The outpouring of support reflects the community’s commitment to helping the Plaza family during this challenging time.
